Canada’s start-up visa program may allow you to relocate to the country if you’re an entrepreneur with a unique business plan. People with a strong desire to help the Canadian economy and create jobs are encouraged to apply for a position as an entrepreneur in Canada.
Entrepreneurs can immigrate to Canada through Canada’s start-up visa program in order to launch a new firm. Immigrant entrepreneurs must prove that their venture is innovative, will generate new jobs in Canada, and is capable of global competition.

Requirements

If you want to get a Canadian start-up visa, you must meet the following four requirements:

1. Possess a permissible business
   • You must own at least 10% of the voting rights tied to all of the company’s shares.
   • You and the designated organization must own at least 50% of the right to vote linked to all of the company’s shares.

2. Possess an endorsement letter from a designated organization:
   • You must demonstrate that you have received financial backing from a venture capital fund, angel investor group, or company incubator.
   • To accomplish this, you must propose your company idea to the organization and convince them that it is worth funding.
   • Each organization will have its own approach for pitching your company idea.
   • If your pitch is successful, the organization will provide you with a letter of support, which you must include with your start-up visa application.

3. Comply with applicable linguistic requirements:
   • You must take a language exam administered by a recognized organization and demonstrate that you meet the minimal level of the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in speaking, reading, listening, and writing in either English or French.

4. Evidence of funds:
   • You must demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to support yourself and any dependents upon arrival in Canada. The quantity required is determined by the size of your family.
